Player Development Program
An integrated program funded by the Georgia Junior Golf Foundation. We provide assistance for golf professionals and for golf facilities to make it easier for kids to discover and embrace the game of golf. We are now finalizing the details of the many facets of this new and exciting program. Each new Partner Program will be custom designed to fit the needs of that facility. We hope that you will get involved and support us!
What we will offer participating facilities and professionals:
FOR GOLF PROFESSIONALS:
- Golf Professionals receive free access to a user-friendly website to enter all of their junior golf program info to be promoted on the GJGF website and in the GJGF magazine. Professionals- Click here to get access.
- Golf professionals receive free equipment lockers for use doing clinics for juniors. Lockers include US Kids Golf Clubs of varying length and loft.
- Golf Professionals receive assorted curriculum and teaching information including the GJGF Player Development Program and the US Kids Golf booklets.
FOR GOLF FACILITIES:
- Facilities receive free rule books as well as US Kids Golf three step program booklets.
- Facilities receive funding to support junior specific range time including a monthly junior golf day and how to start a junior golf club.
- Facilities also receive funding toward junior greens fees to help develop junior tee times and encourage play.
- Facilities (courses) receive a set of family tee markers and instructions for installing them and tips for optimizing the program including scorecards with GSGA handicaps for one set of tees.
RULES/ ETIQUETTE SEMINARS:
GJGF also coordinates and executes golf rules/etiquette seminars. An entertaining Powerpoint presentation is given by GSGA/GPGA volunteers. All juniors from the surrounding area are invited to attend including middle and high school golfers- all juniors receive a copy of the rules in brief. Schools- Schedule a seminar!
